Hi! My name is Tracey Lee, and I’m a digital scrapbook designer.
Well, I’m actually more than that.
I’m a wife to my husband of almost 11 years, Mike. I’m a mother to our three boys, Cody, Dylan and Evan.
I knit. I crochet. I spend my springs and summers on hard metal bleachers watching my boys play baseball. I spend my school year planning Cub Scout den meetings.
I started digital scrapbooking in 2002. Which, yeah. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been doing this for eight years now. I started before you could buy digital kits. I started before you could search Google and find hundreds of websites and blogs handing out freebies, back when we had to make our own or make do with poor quality graphics designed for web use. I’ve seen the industry grow from nothing to something amazing.
Basically- if you’ve never heard of me, don’t go thinking that I’m newer than you.
I started designing in late 2003. I’ve sold my designs at Pages of the Heart (now defunct) and The Digi Chick. I retired unofficially in 2008. Before retirement, I had layouts published in Simple Scrapbooks and Memory Makers.
On retirement- I was, simply put, burnt out. I didn’t move on to bigger and better things, I didn’t even fool myself into thinking that I did. Instead, I just… stopped. My heart wasn’t in the industry anymore, and my designs suffered for it. I had to take a break and let what was going to happen… happen.
While I was retired, I realized that I had lost focus. I was designing to earn money so that I could buy kits, yarn, fabric. That is never what I wanted. What I wanted was to design for fun. Design to make people happy. Design for me. The money was a bonus, I didn’t want to be a household name and make hundreds of thousands of dollars.
So- I’m back. I changed my design name. A new name, a new mindset. After I’ve built up a portfolio, I will start store shopping. For now, I’m offering free paper packs to work on getting my name out there again.

I found your link on #73 Maggie May’s Designs by Laura Boetto for the Feb Blog Train.
